About QIVIUQ
A Swiss gateway to one of the rarest natural fibres in the world.
Why this exists
Most people in Switzerland have never heard of qiviut. That is not because it is unremarkable. It is because there is so little of it, and almost none of it travels this far.
QIVIUQ was founded to bring it here properly: with the origin stated, the price honest, and the story told without exaggeration.
How we work
We select finished pieces from specialist Arctic producers and artisan communities, and we publish what we can verify about them.
We keep the collection small. We would rather offer eight pieces we can stand behind than eighty we cannot.

The name
Qiviut is the Inuktitut word for the underwool of the musk ox. QIVIUQ is our name for the house that brings it to Switzerland.
We use the word with respect for the communities it comes from.
